Don Lykins, (2nd generation ownership of Lykins) died of blood cancer just a few short years ago. Don had several blood transfusions over the course of his treatment, which prolonged his life for many years. Without the generosity of volunteer blood donors, Don would have had a much shorter life. Lykins Energy Solutions remains committed to sponsoring our yearly blood drive in Don’s name.
Your donation does matter. Every donation can save the lives of up to three people. All it takes to volunteer is fifteen minutes to help someone in need.
When thinking about donation blood, please consider these points:
-More than 41,000 blood donations are needed every day.
-Blood cannot be manufactured – it can only come from generous donors.
-Most donated red blood cells must be used within 42 days of collection.
-Donated platelets must be used within 5 days of collection – new donations are constantly needed.

On September 11, 2014, Lykins Energy Solutions sponsored its 25th annual charity golf tournament at Legendary Run Golf Club. Jeff Lykins serves as President and CEO of Lykins Energy Solutions and is proud to carry on his family tradition of giving back to the community. In addition to his duties as President and CEO, Jeff serves on numerous non-profit and business boards in the area. Although many businesses support the event by attending and donating, Jeff noted Copper Blue Restaurant in Milford provided all the lunches for the golfers and DigiMax donated all the print materials and staff golf shirts for the event. In addition, Legendary Run Golf Course made a significant in kind contribution for the event.
This year, as in the past 15 years, CASA for Clermont Kids has been the beneficiary of Jeff’s and his staff’s efforts. He believes that the work done by CASA helps make Clermont County a better place to live and work. CASA for Clermont Kids and its volunteers serve abused, neglected, and dependent children in Clermont County. Every day in Clermont County children are removed from their homes by Children’s Protective Services and are thrust into the Juvenile Court System, through no fault of their own. The CASA for Clermont Kids volunteers work to find a safe, loving, and stable atmosphere for this children.
Jeff presented a check to Nathan Bell, the Executive Director of CASA for Clermont Kids, for the proceeds of this years golf tournament on October 3, 2014 at Copper Blue Restaurant in Milford.
